Venue
The conference venues will be the Room 301 in the Advanced Engineering Building and for the closing day of the event Room T203 in the Hawken Engineering Building both located at the Staff House Road at UQ’s St Lucia Campus.
Getting There
There is limited parking on UQ’s St. Lucia campus. Therefore, public transportation is the best option to get around Brisbane. The CityCat is a very convenient way to get to campus. We plan to include a GoCard in each participant’s welcome packet that can be loaded and used to access all public transportation in Brisbane.
Accommodation
The closest hotels to the St Lucia Campus are the Benson Court, Forest Lodge Apartments and the Essence Suites Taringa. There are many accommodations near ferry stations along the river (see dashed blue line on the Brisbane River in the map of Booking.com).
Welcome Event @ Falons Brewing Co
The Welcome Event will be held at Felons Brewing Co from 4pm onwards under the Story Bridge. If you are coming by City Cat, you will need to get off at Riverside Ferry Terminal and walk 11 minutes towards Story Bridge. Otherwise, you can use Translink’s Journey Planner to find the best bus connection.
